About the Role
As a Student Experience Team Member, you’ll play a key part in delivering a warm, safe, and inclusive environment where students feel supported and valued. You’ll collaborate closely with your Student Experience Team Leader, peers, housekeeping, facilities, and Resident Ambassadors to create positive everyday experiences—from welcoming students at reception to resolving issues quickly, leading flat viewings, and helping organise vibrant community events.
Your day-to-day impact will be real:
- Connecting with students
- Driving bookings
- Helping build a place they’re proud to call home
Your Responsibilities
Whilst no two days are the same at Unite Students, here’s a flavour of what you’ll do:
- Provide a friendly front-of-house reception and build strong relationships with students
- Respond quickly to student feedback and guide them to the right support
- Support sales efforts: book viewings, answer enquiries, and attend university/housing events
- Collaborate on community-building events with Resident Ambassadors
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-kept environment for students
- Work closely with day and night teams to ensure smooth handover
- Assist with wellbeing/welfare matters and take action when issues arise
- Act as a brand ambassador, living our CARE principles: Connect. Act. Respect. Encourage.

Requirements for Success
To thrive in this role, you will:
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills (hospitality/retail experience preferred, though not essential)
- Be warm, caring, and approachable, excelling in communication and resolving student enquiries efficiently
- Excel in time management and organisation to handle multiple responsibilities
- Take pride in doing the right thing and supporting others
- Preferred: Experience in student services, residential environments, or similar—but what truly matters is your ability to connect and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Take ownership of challenges, resolve issues quickly, and prioritise student satisfaction and safety
