Airport Requirements (Gatwick Role)
Applicants must meet the following prerequisites to obtain an airport pass:
- Provide 5 years of unbroken employment or education references (gaps of ≤28 days permitted).
- Undergo a CRC (Criminal Record Check) if and when application is successful.
- Hold a valid, up-to-date form of ID.
- Pass a Gatwick airport security check interview and complete a written/online training course.
Key Note:
- The airport operates 24/7 (03:00–20:00, extended to 22:00 during peak periods).
- Applicants must agree to work within these trading hours.
- References and a satisfactory CRC are mandatory; failure to provide these may result in the withdrawal of an employment offer responsible to obtain.

Customer Service & Sales
- Lead by example and coach staff to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Uphold product presentation and shop visual standards to reflect White Stuff’s refined aesthetic.
- Deeply understand internal product ranges (fits, styles, fabrics, features) to educate both teams and customers.
- Address customer feedback and queries proactively to foster satisfaction.
- Promote awareness of our charitable partnership, including events, and share positive social impact initiatives with customers.
Operational Support
- Support the management team in coordinating promotions and campaign launches.
- Assist with seasonal setups, event execution (e.g., Customer Event), and sales.
- Manage store operations through staff scheduling, delegation, and prioritisation.
- Oversee efficient delivery processing and ensure stock is replenished promptly and neatly displayed for customers.
- Participate in stock audits and reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
- Champion multichannel shopping (e.g., White Stuff More Ways to Shop) among customers and colleagues.
- Support compliance, transactional workflows (records, cash handling, systems).
- Confidently demonstrate process knowledge, escalate issues, and act decisively in the Store Manager’s absence.
- Maintain awareness of health & safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Coaching & Team Leadership
- Cultivate a positive team environment aligned with sales and service excellence.
- Actively contribute to team briefings (and lead them in the Store Manager’s absence) to clarify goals and motivate staff toward targets.
- Delegate tasks effectively to ensure seamless operations.
- Identify opportunities to train and develop the team for enhanced efficiency.
- Support workplace wellbeing initiatives and escalate employee concerns to relevant teams.
- Educate both colleagues and customers on ethical sourcing and our sustainability approach.
