Customer Liaison Officer - Temporary Contract
Location: Chisslebank, Huddersfield, HD3
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Contract: Temporary - urgent cover
Sector: Social Housing/Planned & Retrofit Works
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Liaison Officer to join our client on a temporary basis, providing urgent support to cover staff absence.
This role will be based in the Huddersfield area and will support a planned and retrofit refurbishment programme within a social housing environment.
The project is based across two tower blocks, with works including window replacements, external wall insulation, new bathrooms, external works and plastering.
The Role
As the Customer Liaison Officer, you will be the first point of contact for tenants, supporting them throughout planned and retrofit refurbishment works. You will play a key role in keeping residents informed, coordinating access, resolving concerns and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the programme.

You will be working as part of a friendly, established and supportive team, liaising closely with site teams, project managers, trades and residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for residents throughout the works
- Lead resident and community engagement, building strong relationships with tenants and local communities
- Deliver clear and effective communication regarding the nature and scope of works
- Coordinate access arrangements to ensure works are completed smoothly and on schedule
- Respond to resident enquiries and concerns professionally and empathetically
- Resolve access-related or resident issues promptly, escalating where required
- Maintain accurate records of communication, access arrangements and issue resolutions
- Support tenants throughout the planned and retrofit refurbishment programme

What We're Looking For
The Successful Candidate Will Have
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to deal with sensitive situations professionally and empathetically
- Resilience and strong negotiation skills
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within social housing
- Previous Customer Liaison Officer or Tenant Liaison Officer experience
- CLO/TLO experience would be highly advantageous
