Customer Operations Coordinator

Customer Enquiries & Orders Processing Administrator Location: Mansfield (On-Site) | Salary: £33,000 + Benefits


About the Role

This Permanent position ensures seamless processing of customer enquiries, quotes, and orders using ALSTOM Electronics business systems, fostering right-first-time efficiency and customer service excellence. You’ll collaborate across planning, manufacturing, engineering, and sales, resolving service issues swiftly and elevating customer-centric standards.



Your Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer enquiries, quotes, and orders via ALSTOM’s business systems, adhering to right-first-time quality and efficiency.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for enquiries, escalating and communicating customer concerns promptly.
  • Ensure high service levels for all visitors and customers interacting with ALSTOM Electronics.
  • Provide administrative support to the business in a professional, efficient manner.
  • Comply with deadlines set by the Operations Manager and report HR/HSE issues as needed.
  • Build strong working relationships with sales, purchasing, manufacturing teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and achieve KPI targets for delivery and service levels.
  • Maintain full compliance with ALSTOM’s quality standards.

Essential Requirements

✅ Aptitude & Mindset over experience—we value innovation, self-motivation, and a team player attitude. ✅ Strong administrative skills with proficiency in: MS Office, MRP systems, OE/CMR processes, and quality assurance protocols. ✅ Relevant manufacturing sector experience, especially with business/office computer systems. ✅ Educational background aligned with business administration, order coordination, or customer service (e.g., Diploma). ✅ Highly organised, logical thinking, disciplined, and result-driven. ✅ Excellent communication skills for all levels—verbal and written. ✅ Proactive problem-solving with a customer-focused ethos.
