Customer Order Expeditor – Knutsford, Parkgate Industrial Estate

Role: Customer Order Expeditor Location: Knutsford, Parkgate Industrial Estate Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 08:30 am – 5:00 pm | 40 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Customer Care team member to join our expanding manufacturing team in Knutsford, contributing to one of the UK’s fastest-growing and most successful family-owned valve manufacturers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Tracking and updating customer order statuses regularly
  • Responding to customer enquiries (emails/phone calls) within 24 hours
  • Monitoring order progress and ensuring timely production/fulfilment to guarantee on-time delivery
  • Coordinating across departments (Sales, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Documentation, Logistics) to ensure timelines for customer orders are met
  • Liaising with Customer Inspectors and updating third-party inspectors on active order inspections
  • Managing order schedules and resolving outstanding issues efficiently

What You’ll Bring

✔ Customer-centric attitude – Proactive approach with initiative to drive orders through the system ✔ Clear and professional communication skills (written/verbal) ✔ Passion for delivering excellent customer service and on-time performance ✔ Preferable but not essential: experience in a manufacturing/production environment ✔ Ability to stay composed under pressure, even when managing challenging customer complaints ✔ Proficiency in MRP systems, Excel, and Word, along with strong analytical skills ✔ Exceptional multitasking ability and time management skills ✔ Problem-solving mindset – willing to question delays and propose alternative solutions ✔ Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive workplace presence ✔ Strong numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
