Job Title: Customer Order Management Administrator
Location: Peterborough, PE (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Position Type: 6-Month Contract
Start Date: August 2026
Salary/Rate: GBP 13.49 per hour (PAYE)
About The Role
We are currently seeking detail-oriented Customer Order Management Administrators to provide critical temporary support to the Customer Order Management (COM) team at the Cummins Peterborough site.
This is a non-customer-facing support role focused on system accuracy, data entry, and order facilitation. It is the perfect opportunity for an administrator who enjoys precision, routine data management, and working within a globally recognized engineering brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Processing: Input and process customer orders into the database accurately and within strict deadlines, manually allocating parts as required.
- Export Support: Compile and distribute critical shipping and export documentation.
- Data Cleansing: Maintain system integrity by updating customer accounts, drop-ship details, pricing, order holds, and codes.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute standard internal reports on order statuses and lifecycle progress.
- General Admin: Support the wider team with database updates, filing, and scanning.

Your Performance Goals
- Achieve 98% order entry accuracy on a daily basis.
- Aim to process approximately 24 orders/90 lines per day.
- Process 85% of internal service requests within 4 hours.
What You'll Need To Succeed
Experience:
- Previous experience in order processing, sales administration, data entry, logistics admin, or strong transferable skills from a high-volume data environment.
Core Skills:
- Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office is essential).
Mindset:
- Highly organized, comfortable executing repetitive daily processes, and possesses a keen eye for finding and correcting data errors.
