Job Description Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Civil Portfolio Programs Team as a Customer Program Leader. This is a fixed term maternity cover (14 months) role working as part of the programmes team reporting directly to the Senior Program Manager to support one of our Civil Programs.
In this role you will foster a “one team” approach to customer satisfaction and will lead a cross-functional team to deliver specific packages of work which support program deliverables, advocating for strong project governance, whilst driving opportunities to maintain or improve the business case.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support Production Readiness Reviews and smooth transition from NPI to Sustainment.
- Manage the planning of spares for EIS including IP Spares, Spares and spare parts for repairs.
- Manage the development of 777x ELMS Component Maintenance Publications.
- Support the generation and approval of 777x ELMS Spares pricing.
- Ensure DDA is in place in advance of EIS.
- Agree RSPL with Boeing.
- Deliver SDRL milestones are met and delivered to plan.
- Develop a strategy to deliver commercial aircraft training ahead of EIS.
- Ensure AOG inventory is supplied globally in advance of EIS.
- Set up repair capability at LHT for 777x ELMS and BUG and BUC.
- Develop a process for the management of 777x ELMS repairs with LHT.
- Develop a process for the management of BUG and BUC repairs with LHT to be co-ordinated through GE Cheltenham.
- Support to manage the repairs, retrofits and rework through the business.
- Work across the matrix, other GE sites, Suppliers and Customers as required.
- Support and implement the product-line strategy.
- Monitor’s production of units from the factory removing any barriers as needed and driving to meet on time delivery for the customer and GE.
- Management of any financial disputes – seeking resolution to delayed payment, and putting in longer term corrective action where appropriate.
- Lead the cross functional team to ensure program success – achieving business objectives, delivering against milestones and deliverables and ensuring the continuity of the business case.
- Ensure clarity of flow-down and tasking within the wider organisations to ensure that the customer order expectations are clear in terms of scope, schedule and quality.
- Understand the business case and cost baseline to communicate and drive satisfaction of required targets such as recurring product cost and non-recurring development costs.
- Establishes Standard Work and Daily Management, applying FlightDeck principles and best practice, to ensure delivery of Contractual obligations, export/regulatory compliance, company policies & processes and business requirements.
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Statement of Work (SOW) are established, maintained, monitored, delivered, and reported.
- Organise and attend meetings and conference calls between customers and GE for any resolutions about unit operations, technical issues and/or business discussions.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Strong experience of customer management and aftermarket standup, capability and readiness.
- Knowledge of program management disciplines including managing and forecasting budgets, schedules, and financial analysis; managing and negotiating contracts with demonstrable commercial experience.
- Proven history of fostering teamwork and collaboration across multiple functional areas in competing priorities.
Desired Characteristics
- Analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Knowledge of international import/export requirements in a highly regulated sector.
- Lean / Six Sigma knowledge / experience.
- Experience working in an electronics design/manufacturing organisation.
- Experience with ORACLE business systems.
- Experience with SalesForce.Com business systems.
- Commercial/Contractual Negotiation experience.
