General Summary
Job Overview This is a technical customer-facing role within the Quality Organization supporting Automotive customers based in Europe. The role involves providing leading-edge automotive applications using the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon, Modem, and 5G technology.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Focus on in-region Automotive customers and manage customer quality issue resolution for Qualcomm products across:
- Customer development
- Mass production
- Field returns
- Collaborate with Automotive customers and internal engineering teams to address:
- Quality issues
- Customer returns
- Update customers timely regarding status of:
- Quality issues
- Requests
- Work closely with Customer Engineering / Applications teams to:
- Understand new product introduction status
- Capture and escalate issues to the Qualcomm quality organization
- Partner with Automotive customers and Qualcomm internal teams to support:
- Customer APQP
- New product bring-up (including documentation, risk assessment, etc.)
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, advocating for:
- Customer needs to Qualcomm internal teams
- Qualcomm interests when engaging with customers
- Coordinate with global Qualcomm teams to:
- Handle worldwide quality issue follow-up
- Drive the implementation of Qualcomm’s CQE strategy
- Collaborate with local Sales/ Customer Service/ Engineering teams to:
- Drive approval and adoption of Qualcomm PCNs (Product Change Notifications)
- Conduct regular customer surveys to track:
- Key quality KPIs
- Business reviews
- Capture and share customer intelligence with Qualcomm, including:
- Regional requirements
- Standards
- Risks
- Opportunities
- Support offshore facilities of global customers.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Applied Science
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Engineering
- Information Systems
- Or a related field
- 2+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience.
OR
- Master’s Degree in:
- Applied Science
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Engineering
- Information Systems
- Or a related field
- 1+ year of Quality Engineering or related work experience.
OR
- PhD in:
- Applied Science
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Engineering
- Information Systems
- Or a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Physics
- Electronics
- Or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ work experience in:
- Automotive product / industry
- Customer-facing roles.
- Practical understanding of:
- Semiconductor processes (wafer fabrication, assembly, test).
- Hands-on experience using:
- Diagnostic equipment (oscilloscope, curve trace, CSAM).
- Familiarity with:
- Electrically Induced Physical Damage (EIPD).
- Application & understanding of:
- 8D Problem-Solving Methodology
- Related tools.
Desirable Technical Experience
- 5 years’ work experience in:
- Automotive industry
- Customer-facing roles.
- Strong understanding of:
- European Automotive OEM/Tier-1 quality support expectations
- PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
- IATF 16949 standards.
- Knowledge of:
- Quality tools
- Reliability engineering.
- Expertise in:
- CMOS Manufacturing (construction and deconstruction).
- IC assembly methods / processes.
- Familiarity with:
- Digital & Mixed Signal test systems and methods.
- Strong communication skills for:
- Persistent and resolute conversations with customers and internal stakeholders
- Managing difficult interactions.
- Self-driven and flexible: Ability to address issues without micromanagement.
- Exceptional team player: Effective problem-solving in collaborative settings.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English.
