Customer Representative - Oxford
Customer Representative – Oxford Branch (Fixed Term, 9 Months)
Making a meaningful difference for our customers, every day
As a Customer Representative, you’ll make a real impact from your very first day.
You’ll be a key part of the branch team, supporting customers in person, over the phone, and online. You’ll assist with everyday transactions, answer queries, and guide customers towards banking services and digital tools that help them manage their money effectively. No two days will be the same, and you’ll be trusted to adapt your approach to suit different customers and situations.
Why This Role Matters
Other banks are closing branches, but we’ve met our branch pledge: all 696 branches will remain open until at least 2030, giving customers a genuine choice in how they bank. We are also the last remaining high-street branch in 148 towns, meaning Customer Representatives are integral to local communities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
