Customer Sales Advisor

Location: Hemel Hempstead Hours: Full-time – Permanent Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (including 1 in 4 weekends)
  • Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (for 1 day per month, usually)
  • Sundays: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Salary: Dependent on experience

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Customer Sales Advisor to join our client based in Hemel Hempstead. This position focuses on delivering a consistently high level of service to customers while contributing to overall operational effectiveness.

In addition to assisting customers daily, the Customer Sales Advisor will ensure the store remains clean and well-maintained. In the absence of management, varying responsibilities may be assigned.


Principal Objectives

The Customer Sales Advisor will play a key role in:

  • Ensuring customers receive exceptional service while maximizing sales for the company.
  • Achieving store financial targets.
  • Quantifying and capitalising on customer opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety regulations for staff and customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Sales & Customer Interaction:

    • Assist and advise customers on services/products via telephone and in-person.
    • Maximize every sales opportunity to meet store targets.
  • Store & Compliance:

    • Complete administrative tasks in line with company procedures.
    • Maintain a clean and tidy store environment.
    • Ensure minimal bad debt through collections and procedural controls.
  • Keyholder Responsibilities:

    • Take over operational duties in the absence of management (including lone working).
  • Miscellaneous:

    • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

Person Specification

To succeed in this Customer Sales Advisor role, you must demonstrate the following:

  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written) and the ability to engage with customers effectively.
  • Confidence and clear articulation when handling customer inquiries.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work within set procedures.
  • Flexibility to operate independently or in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of company products/services after induction and probation.
  • Punctuality in tools and targets—weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goals.
