The Home Of Interiors is a specialist home décor retailer dedicated to helping customers create homes they love. Our interior design team carefully curates design-led products at competitive prices, covering a wide range of budgets and styles. We offer curtains, fabrics, blinds, bedding, curtain poles and tracks, home accessories, and a made-to-measure curtain and blind service. Recognized with a Feefo Platinum Star Trusted Award, we are known for professional yet personable service, expert advice, and strong product knowledge. The team operates from a showroom in Brockenhurst, in the heart of the New Forest National Park, and supports customers across the UK with nationwide delivery.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly efficient Customer Service Administrator to join our friendly and professional team at The Home Of Interiors. The business trades online at www.thehomeofinteriors.co.uk and has a shop and showroom in Brockenhurst, where this role is based.
This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for providing exceptional customer support and who possess strong administrative skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer interactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the smooth operation of our office functions. This is a pivotal role within our business, responsible for maintaining our exceptionally high standard of customer service through the after-sales support we provide. It is often the last point of contact a customer has with us, and the impression you make can be the difference between a returning customer and a lost one.
Duties
- Take full ownership of the customer care email and phone lines, including:
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette to ensure a positive customer experience
- Collaborate with team members to improve office procedures and customer service standards
- Following up on replacements and missing or damaged goods
- Keeping on top of collections
- Managing customer returns and refunds
- You will also:
- Send tracking links to customers first thing each morning
- Pack and dispatch small orders daily
- Stay on top of back orders, chase suppliers, and update customers on any late dispatches
- Keep customers up to date with the status of their curtains and blinds orders
- Reply to customer reviews on Feefo, Google My Business, and Trustpilot in a timely manner

Skills
- Office experience is desirable but not essential
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent typing speed
- Outstanding phone etiquette and communication skills - you will be talking to customers and suppliers on the phone daily
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively

We're looking for someone who genuinely cares about doing a good job, takes pride in their work and treating customers well, with a positive attitude and a methodical, organised, and efficient way of working. Office experience is desirable — if you have it, great — but if this would be your first job, please don't let that put you off applying. If you have the right attitude, we can teach you the skills, and full training will be given. Salary will be dependent upon experience.
