Customer Services Administrator

Eastleigh Area, Hampshire

Monday to Friday | 9:00am - 5:30pm

Permanent | Office Based

Salary to £30,000pa dependant on experience

Are you an organised and customer-focused administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business seeking a Customer Services Administrator to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service and order processing experience who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and ensuring customers receive an exceptional service from enquiry through to delivery.

The Role

As a Customer Services Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting customers and ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with internal departments, you will help deliver a seamless customer experience while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email
  • Providing prompt, professional, and effective customer support
  • Managing customer orders from receipt through to completion
  • Processing UK and export orders accurately and efficiently
  • Monitoring and managing backorders, keeping customers updated on progress
  • Liaising with Sales, Warehouse and other internal departments to ensure timely delivery of orders
  • Maintaining accurate customer information within CRM and ERP systems
  • Producing order confirmations, invoices and associated documentation
  • Handling customer issues, returns and complaints in a professional manner
  • Supporting customer communications regarding delays, product updates and service changes
  • Identifying recurring issues and highlighting opportunities for service improvement
  • Undertaking general administration duties to support the Customer Services team

You will need

  • Previous experience within Customer Service, Sales Support, Order Processing or a similar administrative role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach to problem solving
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience using CRM and/or ERP systems
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues

Desirable Experience

  • Experience processing export orders
  • Knowledge of international shipping and export documentation
  • Familiarity with stock management and backorder processes
