Customer Service Advisor (CBP111)
Band D (SCP 5–7) – £25,948.95 – £26,403 per annum (pro rata, pay award pending)
Full-time position (29.6 hours per week), Permanent
Working Hours
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
- Friday: 08:30 – 16:30

About the Role
We are seeking an approachable, professional, and customer-focused Customer Service Advisor to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for residents, businesses, and visitors, delivering high-quality advice and support across various council services.

Operating in a fast-paced environment, your responsibilities include:
- Handling enquiries via phone, online, and in-person
- Providing accurate, reliable information
- Ensuring a standard of excellent customer service
About You
You will demonstrate the following:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in IT and familiar with council systems
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- A positive, adaptable attitude with a teamwork mindset
