About the Role
As part of Places for People Group, Derwent FM are experts in providing facilities management solutions for university campus buildings and student accommodation.
Our service is focused on our partnership approach with our clients and the student experience.
We are looking to recruit a Customer Service Advisor on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the delivery of outstanding customer service, providing an exceptional meet & greet service as well as supporting Back of House functions such as parcel delivery and contractor liaising. You will also be asked to assist with organising events.
This role is based on site 5 days a week at Brunswick House, 87 Newmarket Road, Cambridge, CB5 8EN with working hours of 9am – 5.30pm on a rota basis.
Each team member is willing to learn about other roles within the team and assist each other with workload. We are constantly looking at ways to improve our service and suggestions for improvement are welcomed.
At Places for People, we are committed to a safe working place so a basic DBS check is mandatory.

More about you
A ‘can do' attitude and good attention to detail are required. The role will require high levels of customer service with efficient and effective planning. It is important to be able to have a direct, calm and professional manner.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in a similar role (Receptionist or customer service experience),
- Worked within the property industry,
- Worked with IT packages such as MS Word, Excel,
- Excellent communication skills.
