About the Role

The Customer Service Advisor will deliver induction processes for all new workers and manage transport-related enquiries, ensuring efficient communication, accurate records, and compliance with operational standards for the Sizewell C workforce.


Job Responsibilities

Inductions & Onboarding

  • Deliver the full induction process for new Sizewell C workforce members, explaining the overall transport strategy and expected workflows.
  • Allocate transport solutions, providing guidance on:
    • Parking applications
    • Transport eligibility
    • Permit allocation processes
  • Brief inductees on:
    • Driving rules
    • Correct use of park and ride sites
    • Worker codes of conduct (ensuring full comprehension of expectations)
  • Distribute a detailed induction information pack, including:
    • Up-to-date timetables (bus/rail)
    • Local travel options (sustainable modes)
    • Route guidance
    • Car-sharing promotional materials

Customer Service & Communication

  • Act as the Customer Service Advisor onsite and within the main office/helpline team, ensuring accurate, timely updates are provided to workers.
  • Communicate critical updates regarding:
    • Bus service routes & changes
    • Car-sharing promotions
    • Road closures & delays
    • Service suspensions
  • Manually relay updates across multiple platforms (phone, email, in-person, digital displays).

Parking & Transport Enquires

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all parking enquiries:
    • Allocation updates
    • Parking enforcement questions
    • Community-related parking concerns
  • Log all travel- and parking-related enquiries into the data management system, ensuring:
    • Cases are investigated within agreed timelines
    • Full record-keeping compliance

Qualifications & Skills

Core Requirements

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Maths
  • Valid UK driving licence (required for vehicle oversight)
  • Basic IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, email systems, data entry)
  • Strong customer service standards knowledge, including:
    • Complaint handling
    • Operational policy compliance
  • Ability to deliver group inductions/briefings (face-to-face/remote)
  • Data accuracy & confidentiality adherence

Technical & Safety Competencies

  • HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) awareness
  • Confidentiality compliance in a safety-critical environment
  • Ability to communicate service changes effectively

Experience

Preferred Background

  • Experience in:
    • Transport/logistics/parking
    • Sustainable travel modes (e.g., car-sharing schemes, park & ride)
    • Complaints Management Systems or helpline operations
  • Local transport network knowledge (buses, rail, road layouts, timetables)
  • Onboarding sessions or data monitoring experience
  • Previous work with:
    • Large infrastructure construction projects
    • Regulated industry (transport implementation)
