Customer Service Assistant
Location: Wisbech (PE13) – Office Based Salary: £13.26 per hour (PAYE) Contract: Full-time, temporary (6 months) Start Date: 20 April 2026 – 21 October 2026
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Assistant to join a busy public sector team based in Wisbech. This is a full-time, office-based role covering a vacant position.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:45am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:45am – 4:30pm
- (37 hours per week)
Location
- Awdry House, Ramnoth Road, Wisbech
- This role is fully office-based – no hybrid working available.

About the Role
You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing a professional and efficient service while handling a range of enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and face-to-face
- Providing accurate information and resolving queries
- Updating systems and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting administrative tasks across the team
- Delivering a high standard of customer service at all times

Requirements
- Previous customer service or administrative experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Recruitment Process
- Shortlisted candidates will complete a written assessment
- Successful candidates will then attend a face-to-face interview
