Exciting things are happening in Saffron Walden! We're opening a brand-new, small-format store and are looking for 20 Customer Service Assistants to help us bring it to life.
We have full-time contracts available at 39 hours per week and also part-time positions available to give you that work-life balance. These include 8 hours, 16 hours, and 24 hours per week. These are all permanent positions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new team from day one, receive comprehensive training before opening, and play a key role in creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Our experienced Store Manager is building a supportive, high-performing team, and we'd love you to be part of it.
Please note: training/onboarding will be held in our Bishops Stortford store on Goodlife Park, Stansted Road, CM23 5PP.
Shift Patterns:
Our store operates seven days a week, and we have a variety of shifts including weekends. Typical shift patterns include:
- Early: 6:30am - 3pm
- Mid: 9am - 6pm
- Late: 11:30am - 8:30pm
The Role
No two days are the same. As a Customer Service Assistant, you'll help keep the store running smoothly while delivering outstanding customer service. You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, including:

- Welcoming and assisting customers
- Keeping shelves fully stocked and looking great
- Supporting with deliveries and replenishment
- Ensuring trolleys and baskets are available

About You
We're looking for friendly, reliable people who enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in delivering excellent customer service. You'll ideally have experience in a retail or customer-facing role, but just as importantly, you'll have:

- Great communication skills
- A willingness to learn
- A flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment

Hourly rate:
- Age 21 and over: £12.71 per hour
- Age 18–20: £12.00 per hour
- Under 18: £8.82 per hour
