Job Title: Customer Service Assistant

Department: Retail

Reporting to: Shop Manager

Location: Magherafelt

Role Purpose

You will be responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience for our customers through a helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable approach. The day-to-day of the role will involve:

  • Assisting the Shop Manager and shop team in maintaining high standards throughout the day
  • Accepting and paying out bets
  • Supporting the smooth running of the store
  • Occasionally managing shop operations if required

The role also encompasses:

  • Opening and closing the business
  • Following social responsibility duties
  • Acting as a brand ambassador for BoyleSports

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with day-to-day shop operations
  • Step in to manage shop operations when required, including:
    • Opening and closing the shop
    • Managing and guiding the team
    • Cash management procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service through:
    • A helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable approach
    • Introducing customers to multi-channel/digital offerings
  • Process customer bets efficiently through multiple channels:
    • Betting terminals
    • EPOS system
  • Work under pressure to continuously improve personal performance and shop standards
  • Maintain high presentation standards throughout your shift
  • Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and cash-handling procedures
  • Be an ambitious, driven, and team-focused employee

    • Accept bets accurately via terminals and EPOS in a timely manner
  • Brand & Customer Engagement

    • Introduce customers to in-store and online products offers
    • Be confident in building relationships with customers
