Appleby Westward is the SPAR Wholesaler and Retailer covering the West of England. Our Retail Distribution Centre and Support Offices are based in Saltash, Cornwall, where we employ around 2,000 colleagues. Our stores and services span from Chichester and Land’s End, through to Bristol and Salisbury, offering convenience, groceries, chilled foods, and essential local services like Post Office operations, lottery sales, and curbside collection and deliveries.
We pride ourselves on community support, with strong ties to local charities, particularly Marie Curie.

Transaction & Financial Security
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash ups and till security to protect store funds.

Stock Management Ownership
- Handle receiving, replenishment, and stock display for assigned sections.

Quality & Compliance
- Follow food safety, labelling, and allergen guidance after thorough training.
- Ensure compliance with age-related sales regulations (e.g., Think 25)] guidance.
