Customer Services Agent – Marken UPS

About the Role

Job Title: Customer Services Agent

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
  • Varied shift patterns, with weekend coverage as required

Job Purpose: To deliver an enhanced level of customer service and operational support. The Customer Services Agent will handle shipment-specific and service-related queries, ensuring seamless operations.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor all shipments daily to confirm collection and delivery alignment with agreed timelines.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with internal and external customers, including patients, by ensuring transparency and timely updates throughout the process.
  • Process booking requests in the Marken internal database, generating and verifying shipping documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments (Global and Domestic Marken network) to meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with Marken offices and Local Service Providers to enhance logistics efficiency, ensuring desired turnaround times.
  • Input new clinical trial sites into the company’s internal database.
  • Manage telephone, email, and internal communication with external clients and colleagues, resolving queries promptly.
  • Prepare, verify, and distribute country-specific project documentation.
  • Attend customer meetings and teleconferences as scheduled.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Strong computer literacy (internet, intranet, Teams).
  • Thorough knowledge of Aviation and Airline networks.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to influence others diplomatically.
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
  • Team player mentality with the ability to work independently where applicable.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekend coverage as required.
