We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Centre Supervisor to join our expandable Customer Service Hub in Livingston, supporting the Customer Service Rental Systems division under Pumps & Power.


Role Overview

You’ll take ownership of a small customer service team, ensuring high standards of customer service while supporting daily depot operations. With furthered guidance from your manager, you’ll bring your expertise to a collaborative team and contribute to strategic business growth. This role allows you to enhance leadership skills, elevate customer satisfaction, and drive operational efficiency.

As a key member of Carrier Rental Systems, a provider of onsite, 24/7 rental services, your responsibilities will also ensure minimised downtime through seamless equipment availability, transport coordination, and efficient delivery logistics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Support:

    • Supervise daily activities of the Customer Service Centre team, fostering growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance support to maintain exceptional customer service.
    • Act as a liaison with Depot Managers to streamline operations and resolve challenges efficiently.
  • Customer Service Operations:

    • Handle customer enquiries, prepare quotations, process orders, and coordinate equipment scheduling, transport, and deliveries.
    • Manage customer accounts, address purchase order and invoice issues, and identify up-sell opportunities to drive business expansion.
    • Oversee on-hire, off-hire, and equipment exchange processes, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.

  • Administrative & Compliance:

    • Maintain supplier and customer records within Carrier’s systems, including handling MK Denial compliance.
    • Support month-end reporting, operational governance, and maintain accurate records for continuity.
  • Sales & Operational Excellence:

    • Identify and generate new business leads in alignment with sales objectives.
    • Empower a cross-functional customer-centric culture while upholding quality standards across Carrier Rental Systems.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Proven customer service, sales support, or operational experience.
  • Experience supervising or leading a customer service team.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal & written), and relational skills.
  • Organisational finesse with exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive mindset, commercial awareness, and opportunity-spotting aptitude.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and dedication to delivering outstanding customer service.

Pay, Compensation & Auto-Apencialties

  • Annual Salary: £24,785.00 - £49,420.00 (Note: This range may be subject to market adjustments and individual qualifications).

  • Additional Benefits:

    • Subject to eligibility, you may be entitled to short-term cash incentives based on performance metrics.
