What you'll do
As a Customer Service Consultant, you’ll provide an outstanding service we can all be proud of, educating our customers to enable them to use our digital platforms and giving them a choice of how they wish to bank with us.

We’re looking for people who are passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience, are ambitious, and have a helpful personality. Previous customer service experience isn’t essential—but what matters most is someone who can hold a genuine conversation and goes above and beyond for customers. Everything else, we’ll teach you!
At HSBC, we’re committed to coaching and developing our people, providing access to a learning platform and opportunities for career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a pivotal role as the first point of contact for customers, taking ownership of their enquiries and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Educate customers on HSBC’s digital services and fraud awareness, ensuring they feel supported in using our platforms.
- Identify and support vulnerable customers, determining the best way to assist them.
- Help customers with complex banking needs, ensuring they feel valued and made choices with confidence.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
