Job Title: New Business Representative
Salary Range: £25,000-£26,500
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday)
We’re excited to share an opportunity to join our friendly New Business Team as a New Business Representative — a great role for someone who enjoys speaking with people, providing helpful and accurate information, and supporting customers, intermediaries, and other third parties with enquiries about the Society’s mortgage and savings products and services.
Day to day, the successful candidate will handle calls, respond to enquiries, send out relevant literature and application forms, follow up marketing and website enquiries, provide mortgage progress updates, contact existing mortgage customers about alternative products, and work closely with colleagues across the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
