What You'll Do
You will be based in our office in Bridgwater Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm you to learn our systems and ways of working.
If you're successful at application stage we'll invite you to a 15 minute phone interview, the next step after that will be a face to face interview process.
You’ll be the voice of Toolstation, making a fantastic first impression and going above and beyond to make our customers happy. This isn’t your average call centre role, there’s no script to follow, so it’s more about asking the right questions and finding answers quickly and efficiently. And if they’re not happy, it’ll be up to you to get things back on track! But if you take real pride in what you do, our customers will notice and love us all the more for it.
Day-to-day
- Delivering great service. Providing a great customer experience with a smile on your face (or voice!) – no matter how busy you are. You'll be answering inbound calls promptly and professionally as well as responding to customers via webchat.
- Asking questions and building relationships. Reading conversations quickly and effectively - making sure our customers leave the call happy and with everything that they need for the job, meaning you'll provide accurate information and the right guidance.
- Being resilient. Effectively handling call after call – from general enquiries to customer complaints, you need to be ready to deal with it all.
- Collaboration. You'll work with other team members and departments to ensure we achieve our customer first goals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
