Customer Service Representative – Night Shift
Wirral
£25,000 per annum
Permanent Nights | 4 On / 4 Off (12-Hour Shifts)

My client is a well-established and growing business within the power generation industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Customer Service Representative to join their busy 24/7 operations team on a permanent night shift.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment, coordinating multiple priorities, and providing first-class customer service during emergency and out-of-hours situations.

The Role
As the Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for customers requiring emergency assistance, generator hire, breakdown support, and service updates outside of normal business hours.

Working closely with engineers, transport, and operations teams, you'll coordinate responses, manage customer enquiries, and ensure service level agreements are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities
- Answer and manage customer calls, emails, and emergency enquiries.
- Log breakdowns, service requests, and callouts accurately.
- Coordinate engineers and operational resources to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor ongoing jobs and provide regular updates to customers.
- Escalate urgent issues in line with company procedures.
- Prepare detailed shift handover reports.
- Maintain accurate customer records and operational documentation.
- Process generators hire enquiries and support quotation requests.
- Support multiple divisions across the business, including Sales, Hire, Projects, Service, and Fuel.
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved.
- Deliver professional, friendly, and efficient customer service at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within Customer Service, Service Desk, Operations Coordination, or Call Centre environments.
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- High attention to detail and accurate data entry.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing to a wider team.
