Role Overview

Position: Customer Service Representative Salary: $80,502 – $88,860 (package including $70,926 – $78,289 base + superannuation contribution + leave loading) Hours: 35-hour week (full/part-time options) Locations: Loftus & St Leonards campuses (TAFE NSW campuses)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

You’ll act as the primary point of contact for TAFE NSW’s students, prospective students, and alumni, providing welcoming and highly responsive support at every stage of their student journey—from enquiries to high school Classes and beyond.

In this dynamic role, you’ll:

  • Provide customer-focused, multi-channel support (face-to-face, phone, email, and online systems) in high-volume environments.
  • Offer accurate, friendly, and timely assistance concerning course information, enrolment, and general student services.
  • Use a proactive, customer-first approach to resolve enquiries efficiently and ensure a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with Student Services teams during peak periods or shifting priorities.
  • Escalate complex enquiries to internal teams while retaining consistency in customer service standards.

Your Role Is Ideal If...

We’re looking for talented, motivated individuals with:

  • Customer service experience in a fast-paced, multichannel setting (digital, phone, or in-person).
  • Trusted problem-solving skills, with a service-first mindset and ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong teamwork abilities and adaptability to changing needs—especially in busy times.
  • Attention to detail and comfort using systems (CRM experience is a strong advantage).
  • Formal qualification or experience equivalent to a Cert-III in a relevant administrative field.
  • Ability to travel nearby campuses as needed.
  • A positive attitude and drive to improve daily—you’re eager to contribute and go above and beyond.
