The Role of Customer Service Representative

www.kitepackaging.co.uk is the eCommerce platform for Kite Packaging, a leading UK-wide distributor of packaging products delivered through a national carrier network. Due to the high volume of daily orders and dispatches, we receive a significant number of customer enquiries via phone, email, and live chat relating to deliveries, order updates, and general product queries.

Key Skills and Essential Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an office-based customer service environment, along with the following key skills and attributes:

  • A clear, professional, and confident telephone manner
  • Proven ability to handle a high volume of calls and customer queries effectively
  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Excellent administrative and organisational abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines
  • Comfortable using multiple systems simultaneously and managing competing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to support the team and customers

What You Will Get

  • Excellent competitive salary including a bonus Scheme (upon completion of probation)
  • Good work-life balance. 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
  • Holidays: 22 days per year rising by 1 each year to 25, including an option to buy or sell a maximum of 3 days, plus statutory holidays.
