About the Role
At Pet Database, we’re on a mission to transform what’s broken in the UK’s pet microchipping and lost pet systems. We’re building a kinder, smarter service for pet owners, rescues, vets, breeders, and beyond. If you’re passionate about reuniting lost pets, supporting animal welfare, and creating meaningful change, this is the opportunity for you.

- Salary: £29,000 per annum (+ excellent benefits)
- Location: UK-based, hybrid role (majority remote; some visits to our London office required)
- Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm (with weekend cover on a rota basis)
- Contract: Full-time

Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at Pet Database, your work will have a real impact:
- Support pet owners and partners via calls, emails, and live chat—especially in high-stress moments
- Assist with pet registrations, lost pet reports, record updates, and transfers
- Follow up on lost pet cases and help onboard new rescues
- Use smart tools and systems to stay organised and efficient
- Spot recurring issues, flag customer feedback, and suggest improvements
- Lead on support analytics, ticket categorisation, and share key KPIs
- Act as the voice of the customer, influencing product development and enhancing the customer journey
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience supporting customers in a phone-based role
- Exhibits excellent communication skills—being empathetic, clear, and friendly
- Stays calm under pressure, especially in emotional situations
- Is curious, solution-focused, and tech-savvy
- Thrives as a self-starter, comfortable working remotely and independently
- Is a true team player, willing to go beyond core responsibilities when needed
