Responsibilities
- Customer Interaction: Be the main point of contact for service customers, greeting them courteously, understanding their needs, and ensuring smooth processes.
- Workshop Coordination: Manage the scheduling and maintenance of customer service plans, working closely with the Workshop Controller to optimise workflow.
- MOT & Maintenance: Schedule and confirm MOTs, planned, and unplanned work in compliance with DVSA requirements.
- Quotes & Authorisations: Prepare accurate quotes, secure customer approval before work begins, and ensure job cards for technicians are precise.
- Upsell Opportunities: Proactively promote additional products and services, highlighting their benefits in a professional manner.
- Customer Updates: Provide timely, accurate updates on service progress.
- Admin Support: Handle all necessary admin tasks and ensure all work is logged according to manufacturer guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Alternating shifts
- Mon – Fri: 08:00 – 17:15
- Customer Engagement: Act as the primary contact for service department customers, delivering exceptional service and addressing their needs.
- Service Scheduling: Coordinate customer service appointments with the service team and workshop controller, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
- Maintenance Oversight: Verify vehicle maintenance intervals and ensure accurate planning for service needs.
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers professionally, understand their requirements, and facilitate smooth service processes.
- Workshop Efficiency: Collaborate with the Workshop Controller, and Service Advisors to optimise workshop capacity and productivity.
- Sales Opportunities: Proactively promote products and services, highlighting benefits to customers.
- Accurate Documentation: Ensure job card instructions are precise for technicians and invoicing teams.
- Administrative Support: Manage required administrative tasks efficiently, including coordinating with dealer-point managers and workshop supervisors.
- Warranty Assistance: Support the Warranty and Contracts Manager with queries and documentation while adhering to warranty and contract procedures.
- Commercial Vehicle Dealership Experience: If you have previous vehicle dealership experience, you’ll fit right in!
- Exceptional Communication Skills: You’ll be talking to customers regularly, so being friendly, approachable, and clear is key.
- Attention to Detail: You’ll be handling important invoices and customer data, so accuracy is vital.
- Computer Skills: A good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications and solid computer literacy skills.
- Team Player: RH Commercial Vehicles thrives on collaboration. You’ll work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Experience in Customer Service: Previous experience in a similar role, but we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude.
