Customer Service Representative
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Sales Team as a Customer Service Representative. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong communication and relationship-building skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment and delivering excellent customer service.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining existing customer accounts
- Processing orders
- Supporting the wider sales function
- Helping ensure a smooth day-to-day operation within the department
- Providing support to the Internal Sales / Customer Service Supervisor
- Assisting with mentoring and guidance across the team
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers via telephone and email
- Process sales orders, customer enquiries, complaints, and general administration tasks
- Communicate sales opportunities to the Business Development Team
- Liaise with internal departments, including Product Control, Transport, Repro, and Technical, and External Sales to meet customer requirements
- Support the mentoring and training of new and existing team members
- Assist with the smooth running of the department and deputise for the Supervisor when required
- Monitor customer stock levels and help prevent shortages or redundant stock
- Support continuous improvement of internal sales systems and procedures
- Ensure company standards relating to Health & Safety, Quality, Hygiene, Environmental, and Equal Opportunities policies are maintained

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in customer service, internal sales, or account management preferred
- Excellent communication and administration skills
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Experience using office systems and handling customer orders
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently when required
