About the Role
We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the Business Client Service Specialist role.
As a Business Client Service Specialist in the UK, you will:
- Support all servicing activities for our Commercial customers in contact with Business Client Services.
- Deliver a professional, customer-centric service to help solve queries via telephone and digital channels.

In this role, you will:
- Support Commercial Banking customers with everyday banking queries, building strong relationships through end-to-end ownership of requests while consistently delivering an excellent service.
- Embrace technology to deliver a customer-centric approach, demonstrating digital servicing solutions.
- Identify potentially vulnerable customers, record data accurately, and offer appropriate solutions or support.
- Actively support process improvements, raising ideas through the correct channels.
- Ensure compliance with HSBC’s operational risk standards and policies, reporting breaches and confidently managing financial crime risk (identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating, and mitigating).
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should:
- Enjoy building relationships and rapport, with excellent verbal communication skills, and the ability to identify new opportunities for growth within the business.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills, thinking on your feet and creating effective solutions for customers – showing willingness to take ownership of all interactions.

Working Arrangements
- Full-time role (35 hours per week, 5 days a week)
- Operating hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8am – 8pm
- Saturday: 8am – 2pm
- Hybrid working environment (split between our Leicester office and remote work from home)
- Remote work requirements:
- You must ensure a suitable home office setup (desk, chair) in a quiet, interruption-free location.
- Will provide technology; you’ll need home broadband with a minimum speed of 10MPS.
Eligibility

- Those with a valid right to work in the UK
Note: sponsorship is not available for this role. If your student visa restricts you to less than 35 hours per week, we cannot progress your application.
