HaslerRail AG, based in Bern, Switzerland, has been a leader in railway vehicle electronics for over 130 years. We are the world leader in on-board electronics for railway vehicles and the name Hasler is synonymous with Swiss quality in the railway marketplace. For the expansion of our team, we are seeking to hire in Manchester a dynamic and motivated Customer Service Technician.

As a Customer Service Technician, you will ensure our customers’ fleets operate seamlessly by delivering technical support, repairs, and preventive maintenance—bringing Swiss precision to on-board electronics worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, repairs, and calibration services for HaslerRail on-board electronics including:
- Data recorders
- HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces)
- Speed sensors
- Energy metering
- Gateways
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Conduct repairs, overhauls, and calibrations (on-site and in the workshop).
- Deliver preventive maintenance under Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Offer technical training to customers and engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and railway regulations.
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Technical education in electronics or electromechanics (formal qualification).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repairs, and testing.
- Knowledge of railway electronics and communication systems:
- WTB, MVB (Multifunction Vehicle Bus), Ethernet
- Proficiency in English; fluency in German or French advantageous.
- Willingness to travel (20–30% of the time).
- Customer-focused, meticulous, and proactive mindset.
- Familiarity with railway or transportation industry appreciate.
- Basic familiarity with CRM systems or digital service platforms.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation or schematics.
