Customer Services Technician

Location: North-East Region, Newcastle, NE27 0QJ Salary/Benefits: Competitive salary + attractive benefits

We are seeking a Customer Services Technician to join our team in the North-East region. This role will involve performing multi-trade remedial tasks in occupied or unoccupied properties in a way that is safe, resourceful, and professional. The successful candidate will become the visibility of Miller Homes Customer Service in the field and embody its exceptional customer-service values.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all work diligently and safely, adhering to the company’s SH&E (Safety, Health & Environment) Management System
  • Provide progress updates to the Central Customer Service Office Hub, including status reports on ongoing and completed tasks
  • Maintain a smart appearance, ensuring compliance with site-specific safety regulations (proper footwear, PPE) before entering or working in occupied properties
  • Obtain signed satisfaction/completion notifications from customers following the remedial tasks, where possible

Requirements

  • Experience in a comparable role, preferably with another housebuilding company
  • Multi-skilled background with proficiency in:
    • Joinery
    • General labouring
    • Bricklaying
    • Plaster patching
    • Painting and decorating
  • Ability to deliver courteous, efficient, and exceptional customer service at all times
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster professional relationships with multiple departments and disciplines, aiding in achieving daily targets
