Hours - 15 hours available
About The Role
To provide a professional, efficient and welcoming reception service ensuring exceptional customer focused standards are delivered at all times. You will be an ambassador for HSDC both internally and externally communicating and promoting the vision and direction of the organisation with passion.
Responsibilities
- To undertake reception duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of all stakeholders, to ensure a superb customer service experience.
- To have good knowledge of all HSDC provision across all campuses and be able to provide customers with accurate and up to date information, or signpost accordingly.
- To advise external calls to College staff, where appropriate, to ensure staff are fully prepared for a customer’s needs before answering the call. If unavailable to facilitate the customer leaving a message for the member of staff.
- Provide a ‘helpdesk’ for students in liaison with student services, signing students out, signposting students to Health and Wellbeing and other departments and providing general support with student information.
- Provide the first point of contact for face to face enquiries, telephone enquiries and maintaining the College Email ‘inbox’.
- To be responsible for ensuring the Duty Manager phone/radio is available for collection and know who Duty Manager on site for each day is.

Requirements
- English and Mathematics to at least level 2
- At least 2 years administrative experience
- Substantial customer service experience and proven interest in helping customers
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and maintain data security
