# **Van/Hybrid Fitting Assistant - Halfords Autocentre**
## **About the Role**
Are you passionate about cars and bikes, with a genuine love for customer service? We're looking for enthusiastic, able individuals for our **Van/Hybrid Fitting Assistant** role.
At **Halfords Autocentre**, you’ll work on **car parts fitting, technology install, cycle building and servicing**, while delivering an exceptional in-store and on-road customer experience. Whether you have retail experience or a knack for practical motoring or cycling, we’ll provide **full training designed to help you own high standards**, develop killer technical and customer-service skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career insights into the automotive and cycling industries—no formal experience needed!

### **Pay Rate**
- **£12.91 per hour** (for those aged **21+**)
- **£11.05 per hour** (for those **under 21**)

## **Key Responsibilities**
- Provide **market-leading customer service** across **motoring and cycling** fitments.
- Work on vehicles both **on-site in our car park** and in-store with customers.
- Deliver a wide range of fitting services such as:
- **Car parts fitting**
- **Technology installation**
- **Cycle repairs, servicing and builds**
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop **practical problem-solving and quick, efficient** work methods.
- Assist with team targets in a **customer-focused environment**.

Requirements
Essential Qualities
- Love for cars, bikes, and customer interactions—no matter how primitive your experience!
- Great energy—we thrive on enthusiasm.
- Fab communication skills with customers.
- Team player—with adaptability to shift work, including weekends.
- Baseline customer-service skills (even if not retail-focused).
- Enthusiasm for tailoring support to individual customers.
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience in car part fitting/cycle repair (bonus).
- Sales background (with a focus on customer engagement).
- Sales targets achievement (bonus).
