Customer Service Advisor | Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital – Permanent Full Time Role

Location: Bristol Hospital, Department: Sales & Marketing, Patient Services Hours: 37.5 per week Working Hours: Typically 08:00 – 17:00 (Monday – Friday) Salary: £25,038.00 per annum

About the Role

We’re seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join our team at Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital. This critical front-line role combines patient experience support with private healthcare growth initiatives, aimed at delivering exceptional customer service while driving operational efficiency.

This is a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your communicative skills and results-driven approach will be key to success. You’ll play a pivotal role in converting enquiries into bookings, managing patient journeys, and contributing to leadership goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • First-Point Customer Support: Act as the primary contact for patients, consultants, GPs, and medical secretaries across telephone, email, and face-to-face interaction, delivering a proactive, conversion-focused service.

  • Appointments & Patient Journeys:

    • Manage self-pay and PMI (Private Medical Insurance) patient pathways from enquiry to booking and beyond, emphasising high-conversion outcomes.
    • Generate accurate self-pay quotations, discuss payment options, and facilitate competitive pricing as needed.

  • Sales & Lead Management:

    • Own enquiry and sales leads, track them in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and follow up to secure confirmed bookings.
    • Optimise appointment scheduling, revenitisation (əbəsərvirilmə arasındaki isdən istifadə və put entusiasmo) etancements and reduce unused clinical capacity.
  • Stakeholder & Service Growth Support:

    • Collaboration with consultants and medical secretaries to streamline patient referrals and admissions.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders—including contributing to growth in GP and consultant referrals.
  • Data & Performance Contributions:

    • Monitor KPIs, sales performance, and local marketing initiatives to align with business expansion.
  • Adjunct Administrative Support: Flexible coverage across operational teams as required to ensure continuous service delivery.


Requirements

Skills & Attributes

  • A confident, empathetic communicator with a proven ability to convert enquiries into bookings and follow up persistently.
  • Strong organisational, administrative, and IT skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience (or keen interest) in customer-facing roles (healthcare backgrounds desirable).
  • Demonstrated CRM system familiarity (or a rapid-learning mindset).
  • Proactive, flexible, and results-oriented in a team setting.

Essential Qualifications (UK/US Standards)

  • GCSE-equivalent standard in English and Maths.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business & Administration desirable.
