Customer Service Executive – Freight Operations (Marken Logistics)

Location: Serving Marken Logistics (Global)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Accountability

  • Monitor daily inbound and outbound shipments to ensure adherence to agreed time frames.
  • Advise customers proactively regarding service-related issues, including customs detentions, estimated arrival times (ETA) for flights or trucks.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with customers through consistent, professional communication.
  • Identify and analyse recurring operational challenges, proposing actionable service improvements.
  • Provide critical booking guidelines, including latest booking times and required documentation.

Systems & Support Functions

  • Execute shipment bookings via the Marken booking system.
  • Serve as a multi-departmental liaison, supporting Customer Relationship Management, Transport, Operations, and Sales teams.
  • Disseminate Marken service information effectively to internal teams and external customers.

Strategic Partnership Building

  • Foster a partnership approach between Marken Logistics and customers by understanding their industry-specific logistics demands.
  • Engage frequently with clients, airline personnel, and operations/logistics divisions, ensuring alignment on expectations and efficiency.

Customer-Facing Demands

  • Participate in scheduled performance review meetings to discuss service delivery and address concerns.
  • Cultivate internal relationships across customer organisations, including cross-departmental collaboration.

Technical & Logistic Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of aviation and airline networks, with expertise in logistics operations.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders through strong communication skills.

  • Excel in prioritisation and troubleshooting to resolve repetitive operational bottlenecks.
  • Commitment to adherence with all company policies while remaining flexible for evolving workloads and demands.
