About the Role
Join our Materials Team in Customer Services, reporting direct to the Materials Manager. Based in Chippenham, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring seamless material management and administrative processes across Siemens Mobility’s rail infrastructure projects.
The Opportunity: You’ll be the bridge between customers, suppliers, and internal teams, driving efficiency in order fulfilment, logistics, and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer & Order Management:
- Handle customer queries, quotations, purchase orders, and follow-ups, ensuring fast, accurate, and high-quality service.
- Process orders end-to-end in SAP, managing entry, internal/external supply chain coordination, and dispatch.

Coordination & Communication:
- Maintain clear communication with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and resolution.
- Monitor material schedules and supplier performance, proactively addressing delays and bottlenecks.

Administrative & Operational Support:
- Assist with project set-up, billing, invoice resolution, and financial reporting to meet targets.
- Provide backline support to Customer Service, Materials, and Logistics teams for smooth workflow.
What You’ll Bring
- Customer-Facing Experience – Previous roles in service, sales, or operations are ideal.
- Tech Proficiency – Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) being a bonus.
- Organisational Acute Attention to Detail – Managing high-pressure environments with precision.
- Flexibility & Adaptability – Willingness to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Materials/Supply Chain Familiarity – Exposure to procurement, logistics, or process-driven roles is advantageous.
