Job Opportunity: Customer Success Specialist - Food Science
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Customer Success Specialist - Food Science based in United Kingdom.
This remote opportunity is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys building lasting client relationships while supporting businesses in regulated industries. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact throughout the customer journey, providing consultative guidance, coordinating projects, and ensuring an outstanding client experience from inquiry to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver laboratory testing and labeling solutions while helping customers understand technical information in a clear and practical way. The position combines customer success, inside sales, and project coordination in a dynamic remote environment where organization, responsiveness, and communication are essential. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping customers achieve compliance and successfully bring products to market.
Accountabilities
As a Customer Success Specialist, you will own the customer relationship from the initial inquiry through project completion, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding promptly to inbound web and phone inquiries while serving as the primary point of contact for customers.
- Conducting consultative conversations to understand customer objectives and recommend appropriate laboratory testing, labeling, and related services.
- Preparing, presenting, and following up on proposals while guiding qualified opportunities through the sales process.
- Managing customer relationships after project initiation by coordinating onboarding, project timelines, status updates, report delivery, and follow-up activities.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure laboratory testing, labeling projects, and customer commitments remain aligned.
- Monitoring project progress, addressing customer questions, resolving routine billing inquiries, and maintaining accurate documentation within CRM and project management systems.
- Identifying opportunities for additional services while maintaining a trusted advisor relationship with customers.
- Contributing customer feedback and process improvement ideas to enhance service quality and the overall customer experience.

Requirements
The ideal candidate combines customer relationship management expertise with strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively. Candidates should possess:
- At least 5 years of experience in customer success, account management, consultative inside sales, business development, or another customer-facing role.
- Proven experience managing multiple customer accounts, sales opportunities, and concurrent projects with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to understand technical services and translate complex concepts into practical, easy-to-understand guidance.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, along with invoicing tools like QuickBooks or equivalent software.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and project management platforms.
- Ability to work independently within a collaborative remote environment while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
- Availability to work full-time during Mountain Standard Time (MST) or Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours.
- Experience in food science, laboratory testing, food manufacturing, dietary supplements, pet food, or another regulated industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food labeling regulations, nutrition facts panels, FDA, USDA, or AAFCO requirements is considered an advantage.
