Customer Relations Specialist – Supply Chain & Logistics (Apprenticeship)

The Role

As a Customer Relations Specialist (Supply Chain & Logistics) for an 18–24 month apprenticeship, you will be the interface between customers and Bosch’s central logistics organisation. Your responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of logistics with customers, covering:
    • Replenishment processes
    • Transport management
    • Warehouse operations
  • Proactively track and monitor customer orders and delivery dates to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Manage complex customer requirements, from implementation to follow-up and project leadership
  • Administer and maintain automated 2-Way Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) between Bosch and customers, including orders, confirmations, and associated documentation
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to align logistics solutions with customer needs
  • Monitor stock levels, investigating and proactively resolving discrepancies
  • Develop and analyse KPIs to identify performance trends and implement corrective measures
  • Drive supply chain improvements through digitalisation, automation, and process optimisation
  • Leverage data tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate) to generate actionable recommendations
  • Maintain excellent customer relations, ensuring smooth and responsive communication

Qualifications & Person Specification

Ideal Background

  • Education: Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, logistics, or a related field
  • Technical Aptitude: Eager to learn about:
    • AI solutions
    • Automation and digitalisation
    • Data analytics
  • Customer-Focused Mindset: Passionate about customer service and excellence
  • OrganisationalSkills: Highly structured, methodical, and proactive
  • Communication & Influence: Ability to ** reconcile across multiple hierarchy levels**, including negotiation and clear presentations
  • Analysis & Innovation: Strong data interpretation skills, preferably comfortable with:
    • Microsoft Power BI
    • Microsoft Power Automate
  • Proficiency: Fluent command of English (written & verbal), complemented by strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Technical Exposure: Beneficial but not required:
    • SAP experience
    • Experience with Power Apps or supply chain software

Attributes & Soft Skills

  • Self-motivated and adaptive, balancing independent work and strong collaboration
  • Multitasking & flexibility to manage fast-paced logistics demands
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international, as required)
  • Interest in engineering, innovation, or the automotive sector
  • GCSE requirements (maths and English): Strong Grade 4 (C) or above in both subjects
  • Eligibility criteria: Candidates must:
    • Be UK residents, currently residing in England for at least 50% of the year
    • Have lived in either the EU or UK consecutively for the past 3 years
    • Hold the right to live and work in the UK from the start date and beyond

Additional Information

This role begins as soon as possible (ASAP) and is fixed-term (18–24 months), tied to the length of your apprenticeship training. Apprenticeship studies may be offered partially remotely but will require a **minimum of 2–3 hybrid working days weekly in the Nuneaton office.
