Customer Service Advisor – Public Transport Compensation Claims

What You Will Do

As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll:

  • Review and process compensation claims for customers experiencing delays of 15+ minutes
  • Navigate multiple systems to verify claims, check journey data, and validate tickets
  • Communicate professionally with customers (via email and letters) and colleagues
  • Compose clear, well-structured emails addressing customer claims
  • Stay updated on policy briefings to adapt to an evolving work environment
  • provide assistance for vulnerable customers/travellers, ensuring inclusivity
  • Maintain precise, detail-oriented processing to minimise errors

Your Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency
  • System navigation skills for data checks and administrative tasks
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Clear, professional email writing for customer correspondence
  • Flexibility and adaptability in fast-moving operations
  • High attention to detail, combined with reliable time management

Bonus Points if You Have

✔ Experience in customer service or a support-related field ✔ Familiarity with delay compensation processes and customer claims ✔ Administrative/data entry experience (or customer support experience) ✔ Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment ✔ Proven track record of maintaining accuracy in high-detail tasks


Working Arrangements

  • Standard hourly rate of £12.63 (perpetual salary: £26,520 p.a.)
  • Flexible schedule: 40 hours/week, distributed Mon–Sun, 7am–8pm.
