Our customers have a choice of lifting partners. Every conversation is an opportunity to demonstrate why Ainscough should be theirs.

From first-time crane hires through to some of the UK's largest and most technically challenging lifting projects, our customers trust Ainscough to deliver engineering expertise, an unwavering commitment to industry-leading safety standards and exceptional customer service. Our Customer Support Centre is often the very first impression customers have of our business. This isn't simply about answering enquiries. It's about building confidence, making things easy and helping customers choose the UK's leading lifting solutions company.

With around 70% of customer interaction taking place through email and digital communication, and 30% by telephone, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships through both written and verbal communication.

No two days are the same. One day you could be helping someone arrange their very first crane hire. The next you might be supporting a customer with a complex lifting solution or helping coordinate the next stage of a major infrastructure project. Working at the heart of the business, you'll collaborate with colleagues across Sales, Commercial, Operations, Finance, Procurement and our nationwide network of depots, giving you exposure to almost every area of the company.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
