What You’ll Be Doing
The Customer Support Technician (Networking) will act as the primary technical interface between Gamma and our major strategic customers. You will be part of a customer-dedicated technical service desk team, serving a high-profile client in the retail, manufacturing, and logistics sectors.
You’ll be the go-to contact covering:
- All network-related queries
- Fault management, especially during Major Incidents
- Escalation management
- Provisioning and network design
- Planned maintenance activities
Each day will involve robust collaboration with internal teams, including:
- Field Engineering
- 2nd and 3rd Line Engineering
- Project Teams
- Customer’s own Networks and Major Incident Management team

Your Daily Responsibilities
You will:
- Proactively monitor and maintain a large Cisco and Meraki device network.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents* while comparing critical data against ServiceNow.
- Act as Gamma’s technical representative on Major Incident resolution calls.
- Coordinate network changes, upgrades, and supplier maintenance windows.
What You’ll Need
Essential Requirements
- A proactive team player with enthusiasm for collaboration and a can-do attitude.
- Technical service desk experience is a must.
- Solid knowledge of routing and switching technologies.
- Familiarity with vendors like Cisco, Meraki, and Juniper.
- A customer-focused attitude with the ability to represent Gamma with integrity to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to network diagnostics.
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience providing technical support for Data networks in a commercial or enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI) and/or recent certification, such as CompTIA Network+.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
- Understanding of core network protocols:
- IP Addressing (v4 and v6) & Subnetting
- DNS, DHCP, OSPF

Job Conditions
- This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site at the client premises in Bradford/Leeds. -Unfortunately, we cannot offer visa sponsorship or relocation support for this role.
