Customer Team Leader

Location

Unit 2, Cypress Place, Green Quarter, Manchester, M4 4EX


Contract & Pay

  • Hourly rate: £14.48 per hour
  • Working hours: 30 hours per week, plus regular overtime
  • Contract: Permanent, part-time

Shift Pattern

Designed for flexibility, including:

  • Opening shifts at 6 AM
  • Closing shifts at 11 PM
  • Mid-day shifts
  • At least 2 evening shifts (e.g., Fridays after 6 PM)
  • 1 weekend shift (Saturdays or Sundays) A willingness to discuss specific availability at interview.

About the Role

Join Co-op as a Customer Team Leader and step into a leadership position in your community store. You’ll:

  • Lead a small team in a fast-paced Co-op store
  • Provide essential services such as post office operations, bakery support, online assistance, or home-delivery coordination
  • Help make life easier for customers through choice, variety, and local connections
  • Advocate for Co-op membership and community engagement

Key Responsibilities

As the Customer Team Leader, you will:

  • Take ownership of daily store operations and lead your shift team effectively
  • Motivate and coach colleagues to deliver exceptional service and efficiency
  • Work alongside the shop floor and tills, setting a fast-paced team standard
  • Monitor and support merchandising, stock accuracy, store performance, and HR processes
  • Reinforce Co-op’s purpose through community engagement and membership promotion
