Customer Team Leader

Customer Team Leader

Location: 179-185 Ailsea Court, Chesterton Road, Cambridge, CB4 1AF

Pay: £14.48 per hour Contract: 30 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part-time

Working pattern: Mix of opening, closing, and mid-day shifts with flexibility across the week, including:

  • At least 2 evening shifts (e.g., Friday after 6pm)
  • 1 weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday)

About the Role

You’ll lead a small team in a fast-paced Co-op store, supporting essential services like our post office, bakery, online orders, or home delivery drivers. Whatever the day brings, you’ll play a key role in making life easier for customers and colleagues alike.

What You’ll Do

As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll:

  • Lead daily operations: Own the day-to-day running of the store, coaching team members.
  • Drive team performance: Motivate your team to deliver exceptional service and operational efficiency.
  • Work on the shop floor: Assist with till duties, stock management, and merchandising.
  • Boost store success: Focus on HR processes, stock accuracy, and sales performance.
  • Engage with the community: Champion membership growth and charity partnerships.

What You’ll Bring

  • Passion for leadership and Teamwork – flexibility and hands-on approach.
  • Retail or team management skills (experience not required).
