Customer Team Member

Location: 141 South East Road, Sholing, Southampton, SO19 8JS

Pay: £13.04 per hour

Contract: 12 hours per week (+ regular overtime), permanent, part-time

Working Pattern: A mix of:

  • Early shifts (from 5:45 AM)
  • Late shifts (closing at 10 PM)
  • Mid-day shifts Flexibility across the week, including at least 2 evening shifts and 1 weekend shift. Possible shifts:
  • Friday after 6 PM
  • Any shift on Saturday
  • Sunday

Availability: Happy to discuss further at interview.

Training: Full, paid training provided

About the Role

We’re looking for Customer Team Members to support our local Co-op store. This role is pivotal in delivering friendly, helpful service to our community. Whether it’s assisting in the post office, bakery, or picking/packing online orders, you’ll make a difference every day.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily store operations by delivering friendly, thoughtful service:
    • Assist with customer queries and resolve issues thoughtfully.
    • Contribute to till operations, stock control, and retail tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Maintain store performance:
    • Ensure shelves are well-stocked, priced correctly, and stock is date/temperature-compliant.
    • Adhere to legal compliance (pricing, temperature checks, hygiene standards).
  • Promote Co-op Membership and engage with the local community.

Requirements

  • 18+ years of age (due to early/late-shift requirements).
  • A genuine passion for customer service and working in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including evenings and weekends (experience not essential).
