Customer Team Member Location: 20 The Garth, Winlaton, NE21 6DD


Pay: £13.04 per hour


Contract & Hours

  • Contract: Permanent, part-time
  • Expected hours: 15 hours per week + regular overtime
  • Working pattern: Varied shifts including:
    • Early mornings (from 6am)
    • Afternoons, late evenings (until 11pm)
    • Weekends Exact schedule to be discussed at interview

Note: Must be aged 18 or over—some shifts may require early start/late finish.


About the Role

Join our team at Co-op and help deliver friendly, helpful service to your local community.

As a Customer Team Member, you’ll work in a fast-paced, welcoming Co-op store to:

  • Serve customers across different store operations (e.g., post office, bakery, home delivery).
  • Enhance daily life for shoppers by stocking shelves, ensuring stock accuracy, and maintaining shop safety.

Responsibilities

You’ll help deliver top-tier service while supporting store functions:

  • Empathise and help customers with needs, resolving issues quickly.
  • Collaborate with the team to run a seamless, efficient store.
    • Operate on shop floor, at cash registers, and assist daily operations.
  • Maintain standards:
    • Restock and accurate pricing.
    • Confirm food safety (dates, temperatures).
    • Ensure prices, dates, and shelf compliance.
  • Promote f Co-op membership and community engagement.

What You’ll Bring

  • A genuine passion for helping others and providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work flexibly across shifts and effective teamwork.
  • Enthusiasm for retail and fast-paced environments.
