Customer Team Member

Location: 84 Castle Street, Edgeley, Stockport, SK3 9AL Pay: £13.04 per hour Contract: Permanent, 12 hours per week + regular overtime Working Pattern: • Closing shifts from mid-afternoon to late evening/sundown • Flexible availability across the week, including at least 1 weekend shift per month:

  • Either Friday after 6 PM
  • Any Saturday shift
  • Sunday shift (Availability discussed further at interview.)

About the Role

We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic Customer Team Members to join the Co-op team and deliver exceptional service in your local store. Whether assisting with the post office, bakery, or processing orders for home delivery, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the everyday lives of customers by contributing to a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly, helpful service and resolve issues responsibly
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the store, working as part of a cohesive team
  • Operate on the shop floor and at tills, contributing to customer checkout, stock management, and store aesthetics
  • Maintain accurate stock levels, checking dates, pricing, and temperatures to ensure compliance and hygiene
  • Promote Co-op membership and engage with the community to amplify your store’s role

Requirements

Essential:

  • A genuine passion for customer service
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays
  • Willingness to collaborate in a fast-paced retail environment (experience not mandatory)
