Customer Team Member - Home Delivery Driver
Location: Woodpark Road, Portree, Isle of Skye, Scotland, IV51 9HQ
Pay: £13.04 per hour
Contract: 39 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, full time
Working pattern: shifts will fall between 8am and 8pm, including weekends.

This role involves delivering shopping to customers’ homes, so you'll need a full UK driving licence and to have been driving for at least 3 years.

We’re looking for Home Delivery Drivers to join our team at Co-op. We're introducing our home delivery service to the Isle of Skye and have a number of permanent contracts which we're happy to discuss at interview.

As a Home Delivery Driver, you’ll be part of a friendly team that’s dedicated to helping our customers. We’ll look to you to make sure customers' orders are handled with care and help out in the store when you’re not on the road.

What you’ll do:

  • Pick and pack our customers’ orders, then deliver them to their doorsteps, representing Co-op out on the road as a safe and considerate driver
  • Make sure your delivery vehicle is safe and compliant, conducting daily checks to ensure it’s in good working order
  • Lend a hand in the store when you’re not on the road, serving customers on the till, restocking shelves, and helping your colleagues solve problems
  • Help introduce new ways of working and make change feel natural, sharing your experiences with your colleagues so everyone learns together
  • Get involved in all kinds of activities and events to support your local community

This job would suit people who have:

  • A full UK driving license held for at least 3 years and with no more than 6 points
  • Genuine concern for the needs of customers and colleagues
  • Great people skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
  • A positive approach to change and problem solving
  • The flexibility to work a range of different shifts
