Customer Team Member – Permanent, Part-Time Role

Location: Pickaquoy Road, Kirkwall, KW15 1RR

About the Role

As a Customer Team Member, you’ll play a crucial role in driving the daily operations of a local Co-op store. Whether stocking shelves, supporting sales, assisting with online deliveries, or running the post office/bakery, you’ll contribute to an unbeatable shopping experience. Your flexibility and passion for service will help connect the community with essential services and contribute to local morals and charity work.


What You’ll Do

You’ll be at the heart of our retail experience, ensuring customers leave happy every day:

  • Deliver friendly, thoughtful service, resolving issues and creating positive interactions
  • Support store operations on the shop floor and at tills, including daily tasks to optimise performance
  • Maintain stock accuracy, checking dates, stock levels, and pricing
  • Promote Co-op Membership, helping customers access exclusive benefits
  • Contribute to charity partnerships and community-engaged activities

What You’ll Bring

Age requirement: This role involves shifts before 6 AM or after 10 PM, so you must be 18+.
